Monologue

Monologue of George VonStrouson
Hello Edna, it’s me, George. I’m sure you already knew that though. I know I haven’t visited you in a while, and I apologize for that. I brought you some flowers. I’ll just leave them by your tombstone. Our sons are doing just fine. Also, your grandchildren are growing up so fast. I should bring them here to visit you sometime. Would you like that? Champ misses you a lot. I miss you too. Last time you saw him, he was just a little puppy. Now he’s an old dog like me.
Listen Edna, I have a confession to make. I curse myself for never telling you this before. Back in my youth, long before I met you, I grew up over in Germany. During the Second World War, I enlisted myself into the Nazi Army under the command of Adolf Hitler. I did this thinking that it would bring honor to the VonStrouson name, but really only brought shame to it instead. I was posted at Auschwitz, the death camp over in Poland. I was responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people. I know that it’s terrible and I hate myself for the disturbing things that I’ve done and witnessed.
After the war, I fled the country to come live in America. I thought that I’d be able to leave my past behind me in Germany, but I was wrong. The memory has never stopped haunting me. My life started going in a downward spiral until I began to study at the university. That’s when we met Edna. I fell in love with you as soon as our eyes met. You became my reason to live. You reminded me that I could still live life to the fullest. I know that there is nothing I can do to take back what I’ve done in the past. I just can’t bear to tell our sons this. I want them to be proud of our family instead of being ashamed to be apart of it.
Hopefully God will forgive me for what I have done and allow me to see you once again. If not, there is a spot reserved for me in the fiery blazes of Hell right next to Hitler himself.
Well Edna, it seems that I really must be going. Goodbye until next time my love.

Favorite Movie

Its extremely difficult to decided what movie is my favorite. There are so many to choose from. What makes a movie really good in my opinion is that it can make me laugh. I have to say that the movie Super Troopers is one of my favorites. The way that the characters talk to each other and just the things that they do kept me laughing throughout the whole movie. It is a movie about a bunch of highway patrol cops stumble across a big drug bust. They run into some shananigans along the way. This movie is pee-your-pants funny and I highly recommend that you watch it if you enjoy a good laugh.

Coach: Alright. Everybody get back into the dugout.
Player 1: How could we have possibly lost that game?
Coach: It wasn’t that bad. There will be more games.
Player 1: I know, but we were so close!
Player 2: How come we always lose?
Coach: Don’t sweat it. You guys played a good game.
Player 1: Yeah, but they played better.
Coach: Well losing is just the other side of winning. Somebody has to do it.
Player 1: Why does that somebody have to be us?
Coach: I’m tired of us losing. So now we have practice everyday here at 3:00pm.
Everybody then cleans up the dugout and walks off of the field with low, drooping heads of sadness. The team could then hear the victors cheering in the distance.

  4. Step Brothers
  5. Amercan Pie ( all of them)
  6. Wedding Crashers
  7. Super Troopers
  8. Dukes of Hazzard
  9. Transformers ( 1 & 2)
  10. Law Abiding Citizen

I deffinately forgot a lot of them, but that's just a good idea of what type of movies i like.

Florida

So over the break that we just got back from last week, I went to Florida with my family. I hung out with my dad and my cousin that lives down there. We went to the beach one day and the weather was so nice. The ocean water was even warm so I swam for a little while. On a few occasions, we went out for dinner to different restaurants in the area. I used to live down there so we ended up meeting with some old friends. The weather was absolutely perfect down there. This made it harder for when we flew back. When we got back to New Jersey, the temperature had to be about fifty degrees. That doesn't seemed too bad, but we were just in eighty degree weather before. So that's pretty much what I did on my week off.

Sound Story

Sound Story
As I’m driving home from work on a Friday afternoon, I’m looking forward to the weekend just ahead. I heard obnoxiously loud siren getting louder and louder. A vehicle then sped past me like a bullet. I then take a better look at this speeding vehicle and saw that it was an ambulance. I said aloud to myself, “I hope whoever that is for is okay.” As the ambulance gained a greater distance away from me, the sound of the siren began to fade.
About five minutes later, traffic in the road began to build up as all of the nosey people slow down to observe the car wreck. As my car slowly crept by I saw that same ambulance along with two police cars and a fire truck. The scene of the wreck finally came into my sight. I saw one car completely upside down and a SUV tipped over and laying on its side. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how these two cars ended up this way.
I saw two firemen using the Jaws-of-Life on the door of the car that was upside down. The Jaws-of-Life is a tool used by firemen to pry open doors that will not open due to them being smashed in a car accident. They then pulled the man in the car out and put him on a stretcher. He was then put into the ambulance.
The other man in the turned over SUV simply opened the side door that was facing up and climbed out. He seemed to be okay, but the ambulance crew checked him out anyways. Both of these people were lucky to be alive.
I saw the same accident as I was watching the local news channel on the television later that day. I was relieved to hear that both men were okay although they had a few broken bones and sprains.

Yankees Win!!!

So as I'm sure everyone has already heard, the New York Yankees have won the World Series. They defeated the Phillies 3 games to 2 games. Although Cliff Lee pitched pitched amazingly in his two starts againts the Yankees, the offence of the Phillies was not strong enough to overpower the Yankees in the other games. This ened up leading to the Yankees' victory. A strong offence and a good start on the mound by Andy Pettitte gave the Yankees the win in Game Six.

Books

a book that I really enjoyed was "Heart of a Champion". I do not remember who the author is, but it is a good book none the less. It related to my life on a personal level so it was extremely easy for me to get into. This is a surprise because it is really hard for me to have any interest in books. This is a book that is about two people who are best friends and love the sport of baseball. This book was appealing to me mainly because it has a lot to do with baseball. So if you enjoy sports, then this would be a good book for you.

Journal Topic

Today is Thursaday. That means tomarrow is Friday and then we have a week long break from school! Luckily, the week went decently quick for me. I was just given some Nerds candy. They tasted very good, but they are all gone now. I have to put up a lot of post today because I will not be able to the week because I am going on vacation. When i sat in this chair in the Media Center, my chair jerked back and it scared me. Emily saw me and was laughing at me. It was pretty funny though. I'm just glad that the rest of the class wasn't in here yet. That would have been pretty embarassing, even though I pretty much do that every time a sit in one these chairs. I have a baseball game tonight. Its being played at the school field though so it isn't all that far away at least. Last night, I finished that big story that we had to write while I was watching the Yankee game. I was surprised that I actually finished it though considering that it wasn't even started yet.

Championship Series

So there were four teams now competing to reach the World Series in this Championship Series. The NY Yankees play the LA Angels for the Amercan League title. The Phillidelphia Phillies play the LA Dodgers for the National League title. The NY Yankees ended up victorious against the LA Angels as they won the series four games to two. The Phillies also ended up on top as they defeated the LA Dodgers four games to one. Game one of the world series is on tonight as the Phillies look to defend their title while the Yankees are the only team in their way as they try to come out on top. I myself will be voting for the Yankees so i will update the game results on my next post most likely.

Divison Series

Okay. So my last post was all the way back before the MLB playoffs began. So what I am going to do in this post is give you a little bit of an idea of how the playoffs have gone so far for you people that don't watch baseball, but have some interest in it still. For the ALDS, the New York Yankees swept the Minessota Twins three games to none. The LA Angels also swept the Boston Red Sox three games to none. For the NLDS, the Philidelphia Phillies beast the Colorado Rockies three games to one. The LA Dodgers swept the St. Louis Cardinals three games to none.

Monday, October 5, 2009

So did anybody watch the New York Yankees game yesterday? They beat the Tampa Bay Rays 10-2 for their last regular season game. A-rod ended up hitting a three rbi homerun in the 6th inning making him 4 rbis short of 100. In the same inning though, the Yankees batted around and intentially walked Mark Teixeira with the bases loaded to keep him from hitting his 40th homerun. This led to A-rod bombing a grand slam homerun allowing for him to finishing his season with 30 homeruns and 100 rbis. He also broke the American League record for most rbis in one inning with 7. So next week starts the post season and this is going to be a really exciting post season.

Hey. This is the first blog. I didn't even know what blogging was before not too long ago. It took me extremely long to set this account up so I am running out of time until the bell rings. This blogsite is for my creative writing class so I don't really know what to to do with this. Hopefully, I will get the hang of it prety soon.
